Who hasn’t dreamed about leaving the bustle of the cities and our technology-dominated world behind to move to an ideal small village where everything is simpler? We believe the following five villages are so charming that they could be straight out of a fairy tale, perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Wengen, Switzerland

Wengen is among the most beautiful and scenic villages in Europe and is quite famous with tourists all year. The Swiss holiday resort is conveniently located high up in the Alps, at the foot of the Eiger/ Mönch/Jungfrau mountain range, which makes an ideal skiing and hiking destination.

Göreme, Turkey

A small town within the historical Cappadocia in Turkey, Göreme is located within the world famous Fairy Chimneys. The iconic rock formations were created due to volcanic eruptions in which lava formed tough rocks that were sculptured into different shapes by wind and rain. There is no better location to view these spectacular formations up close. Interesting cave hotels are all over the village and the surrounding hills are great for exploring. You’ll find breath-taking landscapes and rock-cut churches that are beautifully carved and decorated. 

Èze, France
