Jazeera Airways started operations in April 2004, as the first privately owned airline in the Middle East. It continues to be one of the few airlines based in the Middle East that are not owned by the government. It is a low-fare airline, with its head office in Kuwait International Airport in Al Farwaniyah Governorate, Kuwait. This airline is the largest one serving the Middle East from Kuwait. In 2011, the airline transported 1.2 million passengers across its network of routes, which include both business and leisure destinations. It is recognised as the Kuwait's second national airline and is an IATA-member.
The Fleet
Jazeera Airways operates a modern fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft, all fitted with their signature leather seats and a two-class cabin of Economy and Business.
Destinations
The airline currently serves 19 destinations across 11 countries. In the Middle East, the airline flies to Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Najaf, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. It connects Egyptian destinations such as Alexandria, Assiut, Cairo, Luxor, Sharm el-Sheikh and Sohag. It also flies to Turkey.
On Board Facilities
In the Economy Class, you can relish a selection of complimentary on board meals, the menu for which is changed every month to offer new meal experiences for frequent flyers. Every flight is equipped with a Business Class cabin, which consists of 12 spacious seats. The middle seat in Business Class can be converted to a workstation with added privacy. There is also a wide selection on in-flight entertainment for Business Class travellers of the latest movies and television shows, which can be enjoyed on a personal 8.4 inch LCD screen.
Ground Facilities
Jazeera Airways offers exclusive check-in lines and business lounge access for Business Class travellers. You can easily check-in through the kiosk or desk. Check in counters usually close about 45 minutes before the flight for most destinations. There is also a provision for special assistance in case of pregnancy, disability and other medical conditions.

Before You Leave Home
Make sure to check the list of restricted items and also the free baggage allowance limits before you pack your stuff. For instance, Economy Class travellers can carry 40 kilograms in free baggage allowance, while Business Class has a higher limit of 60 kilograms in free baggage allowance.
