    Cebu Air, Inc, operating as Cebu Pacific Air, is an airline that entered the aviation industry in March 1999. It was responsible for pioneering the low fare travel strategy and has catered to more than 80 million travelers since then. Based in the Philippines, on the grounds of Ninoy Aquino International Airport at Manila Terminal 3 in Pasay City, Metro Manila is its main base. This airline has other hubs at Clark International Airport, Kalibo International Airport, Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Iloilo International Airport and Francisco Bangoy International Airport. With more than 3,000 employees, this company is the largest carrier in the Philippines and is headed by Lance Gokongwei. In February 2012, at the Low Cost Airlines World Asia Pacific Congress in Singapore, Ceba Pacific was awarded the Budgies and Travel Award for Low-Cost Carrier of the Year, while Gokongwei received the LCC CEO of the Year Award.

    The fleet

    The airline currently operates a 52 strong fleet of 44 Airbuses, including 10 Airbus A319, 29 Airbus A320 and 5 Airbus A330, with the remaining aircraft comprising 8 ATR 72-500 airplanes, which are considered to be the most modern aircraft in the world. The company’s future plan for 2015-2021 is to add another 9 Airbus A320s, 30 Airbus A321neos and an Airbus A330 aircraft.

    Currently, Cebu Pacific operates flights to 28 cities in 17 countries in the Middle East, North Asia, Australia, ASEAN countries and other parts of the world. In the Middle East, it has convenient flights to Dubai, Kuwait, Dammam, Riyadh and Saudi Arabia; Sydney in Australia; Clark, Manila, Iloilo, Cebu and Kalibo in the Philippines; Jakarta and Bali in Indonesia; Bangkok in Thailand; Singapore; as well as destinations such as Malaysia, Cambodia and Vietnam. Other destinations include Beijing, Shanghai, Pusan, Taipei and Osaka, spread across Eastern China, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

    The on board facilities include internet services to passengers and constant assistance of a friendly and dedicated crew. In recent times, the management has been focusing on equipping its fleet with Wi-Fi, so that all passengers can easily connect their laptops, smartphones and tablets.     Web check-in and online booking

    For all flights that use Airbus jet aircrafts, Cebu Pacific now offers web check-in facilities, along with the added advantage of getting flight tickets through online booking. Passengers on international flights can check in online anywhere from 72 hours to 4 hours prior to the estimated time of departure (EOD) of their flight, while domestic travelers can check in up to 2 hours before EOD.

    Before heading to the airport

    Baggage allowance must be checked by passengers before they start packing. In case you must carry extra baggage that weighs over 32kgs you may have to pay Excess Baggage Rate (EBR). Guests can avail pre-paid baggage allowance online up to 4 hours prior to the EOD and save on EBR. The carry on bag must not exceed 56cm x 36cm x 23cm and must weigh less than 7kgs.
