Established in 1993, Shaheen Air started operations on October 25, 1994. It is a private airline and has its headquarters at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. Its secondary hubs are at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad, and Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. It flies both domestic and international flights and is second in operations in Pakistan, after the national carrier, PIA.
The airline is named after Pakistan’s national bird, Shaheen falcon.
