Singapore Airlines was established on May 1, 1947, and commenced operations in October 1972. It is the flag carrier of Singapore and has its main hub at Singapore Changi Airport. Singapore Airlines was the launch customer of the largest passenger aircraft, Airbus A380, and today operates a fleet of 106 aircraft. It continuously strives to maintain a young fleet, with an average age of 7 years and 7 months. As of now, it deploys all wide-body aircraft in its fleet with Airbus A330-300, A380-800, A350-900, and Boeing 777-200, 777- 200ER, 777-300, and 777-330ER.

Baggage information
Baggage allowances and size limitations depend on the route of the flight, so for detailed information, kindly visit the airline website. Generally, depending on your PPS/KrisFlyer/Star Alliance membership, you are entitled between 50-100 kg of checked-in baggage in Suites and First Class; between 40-80 kg for Business Class; between 35-60 kg for Premium Economy Class, and between 30-60 kg for Economy Class.
For Cabin baggage, up to 2 pieces are allowed per head for Suites, First Class, and Business Class travellers, and 1 piece each for Premium Economy and Economy Class passengers. No piece of carry-on baggage should exceed 7 kg or a total dimension of 115 cm.

The frequent flyer loyalty program offered by Singapore Airlines is KrisFlyer and is a three-tier program.
