    About Medina

    Medina is a city located in the Hejaz region of Saudi Arabia. It is also the capital of the Al Madinah Region. The name Medina or Madinah translates as ‘radiant city’. It is famous for being home to the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi mosque, which is the burial place of the Islamic prophet Muhammad – this makes Medina the second-holiest Islamic city after Mecca.
